I can’t seem to run out of enough good things to say about Che Kothari. He’s one of the most down to earth and giving people you’ll meet. We met on a stormy winter night, I biked like a mad man to make it in time and not to be late for a lecture by Jamel Shabazz. As I’m riding the most impractical low rider in the snow. All I could think was “I can’t be late and interupte him”. So I roll in, just in time to find out his flight was cancelled. Che was there to give me the news and I’ve been bumping into him ever since and we have been meaning to work on something, and here it is!

He’s doing three’ yup, count them three decks. So, you have a much better chance of picking one up. His photography always amazes me’

Che is also part of the first ever CONTACT PHOTOGRAPHY fundraising event along with 2 other photographers. The evening is dubbed: A STILL REVOLUTION. Here’s the deets. As well he will also be doing an exhibition during the festival with Jamel Shabazz & Steve Carty called ‘3 Generations of Urban Portraiture’. You don’t want to sleep on this!

For anyone who does not know what the CONTACT PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL IS...

"As the largest photography event in the world, and a premiere
cultural event in Toronto, CONTACT stimulates excitement and
discussion among a diverse audience that has grown to over 1,000,000
and is focused on cultivating even greater interest and participation
this year."

Look out for future projects between Freedom Fighter and Che Kothari.
